Toastmaster’s Adventures

Words, World and Wonder. This is my old website.

Initially, I started blogging in 2010 to share my journey and speeches in Toastmasters International. My blog was then titled “My Words, My World.” I posted my speeches with the purpose of sharing tips to those who are also interested in public speaking, as well as to those who simply want to be comfortable in voicing out their opinions to the world.

After sometime, the essay series 180 degrees was added to the speeches, making me change the the title to “Words, World and Wonder.” I realized then that there were so many topics that are close to my heart, which cannot be shared through the Toastmasters arena alone. My speeches were scheduled and planned (although most of the content stemmed not just from my mind but also from my heart). My personal essays, however, were all written at the spur of the moment.

I have not been active anymore in Toastmasters International because of my work. But I am so thankful to the organization for helping me in some ways and for letting me meet many wonderful people. I am also thankful that, recently, I got in touch again with my dear UP Manila Toastmasters Club, and we have held two online meetings since the start of the lockdown period.
